Here is the outcome of the second clutch! I am very happy with the result. Stay tuned for more clutches next year.

Exciting moment

Yesterday some hatchlings of my second nest pipped out of their egg! The pairing was BEL (mojavexlesser) X Butter, so I had a 50% chance of hitting BEL's. As far as I can see for the moment I think 3 of the 5 eggs will be BEL's. Stay tuned for more photo's in a few days!

First hatchlings of 2014

 This is a picture of the female spider ovulating, she was paired with a lesser. I was hoping to produce a lesser bee.

 After her pre lay shed she laid 5 perfect eggs!

The outcome was 3 spider, 1 wild and 1 lesser, so I had no luck and didn't produce a lesser bee! Better luck next time :)
