Today I got a lesson in probing snakes, there has to be a first time for everything. My local reptileshop owner gave me a visit today, he carefully showed and explained me how probing works. Afterwards it was time to get started. The lesson paid off and I succesfully probed my first clutch hatchlings, resulting in 3.2 normal and 2.0 pastel!

Naturaria fair Antwerp
Today I went to a reptileshow, a lot of exhibitors from Belgium and the Netherlands came this weekend to Antwerp to show us some cool animals. When I arrived, the doors were opened 20 minutes, but there were already a lot of curious people looking for awesome reptiles.
I took a few pics from the animals I liked the most.

Baby pictures :)
Last week has been an amazing expierence for me, hatching out my first ever clutch of ball pythons. I already posted some updates before but this one is going to be the best one yet. As you will see all of the hatchlings made it and are doing well. Enjoy the pictures and feel free to comment which one you like the most, there are 2 pastel and 5 normal!

Finally day 62
After one too many sleepless nights, finally! I found the very first hatchling, eagerly crawling around in the incubator. I expect the other ones to emerge within the next two days, as some of them have already pipped. I hope you all enjoy the sneak peek of more amazing discoveries to come. Stay tuned to see how the odds will turn out!

Day 55 ...
The first clutch is 55 days far in hatching time, this is the time when most well-known breeders cut their eggs. Since it is my first clutch i had a bit of a dilemma if i would cut them or not. I dicided i would just cut the one on top because this was the worst looking egg, and i had my doubts that this one would still contain a healthy snake. But i was surprised when i saw a very good looking snake inside. I will cut the rest on day 57, so stay tuned at Rausch Reptiles to see the outcome.
Please comment if you think you know what it will be: Pastel or Wild !!
